A Stone's Throw Glass

First Post on my New Website!

Welcome to A Stone’s Throw Glass!!

I am celebrating the event of my new website with a new work, Spring in the Hills. This triptych has spent well over 500 hours in the kiln (I stopped counting at 500!!), and was made by firing layers upon layers of glass frit (tiny particles of crushed glass) and glass powders, resulting in the three-dimensional effect in the final product. Spring is just arriving, the hills are starting to green up; if you wait another week, buds would appear on the tree branches! Spring in the Hills is framed in reclaimed poplar, birch, and pine, and is available through Red Ochre Gallery in St. John’s. NL.

    Urve,
You are truly an amazing person, and if I may say so Woman! Just think if you applied your artistic skills to fly tying and fly casting you will become one of the best fishers I have ever taught!
Congrats, I love Spring in the Hills although I could not see the full size as the gallery web site was still under construction!
    Sam.

    Hi Urve
This is my first visit to your website and was my first visit to your studio this past week. I love what I’m seeing of your work and am looking forward to seeing you and more of your work here in Woody Point next week.
Thanks also for the glass I was needing to do a project.
