Permanent art installation at the Deer Lake Regional Airport Coming and Going, is now ready for viewers! The piece takes up a good portion of the wall of the bulkhead housing administration offices over the main corridor of the Airport. Ralph Ball and his Staff at Western Steel in Deer Lake provided the copper fabrication materials and expertise, while my brothers Tonu and Aare along with myself were part of the installation crew. This project has taken quite some time and energy to create, and we are all happy that it is completed. I hope that it provides enjoyment for all the travellers and families and staff who use the Deer Lake Airport for a long time to come!
Even if you are not planning a trip that involves flight, take a drive out to the Airport and have a look!
